From my online research and discussions with various people, I identified several non-prescription blood pressure reducers and wanted to get your advice. These are celery seed extract, grape seed extract, L-Arginine, nitric oxide.
“They are supposed to help control and lower blood pressure which is not too high or in the danger zone. Did you hear anything about them, and also, do you have any other recommendations for something? which is without a prescription and without the usual side effects you get from prescription drugs? ”
Hi Gary, this is what I found:
Celery seed extract comes from celery seeds. Small, limited human studies have shown celery seed extract to help lower blood pressure in middle-aged people. One study reported an effective dose of 150 milligrams per day. I found little other data on this product. (Remember, you can also use celery seeds to flavor your dishes!)
Grape seed extract – made from wine grape seeds – has been researched for its effect on blood pressure, but the results are unclear. According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Medicine, “it is possible that grape seed extract may help lower blood pressure slightly in healthy people and those with high blood pressure,” especially those with high blood pressure. obese or have a condition called metabolic syndrome. Warning: high doses of this supplement containing vitamin C can worsen blood pressure.
